Got some gold for my birthday

For my birthday a few days ago me and mom and dad went went up into Hatcher Pass with my sister, played around in the public gold mining area for a little while (until my sister's dog came back with porcupine quills in him) then had to head back home. Ah well, there was a nasty thunderstorm up there and I am scared of lightning, so I guess it's just as well we headed back early.

I did manage to find a tiny bit of gold dust and some flour gold though. Well... you need a microscope to see most of it, but hey, I got some Alaskan gold for my birthday so I am not about to complain lol. Granted, I had to go out and pan it out of the stream myself, but it's gold.
