2006 FBI Director's Community Leadership Award was presented to a Capella student

Capella University was pleased to announce recently that their student, Ms. Tammy Alexander Director for Information Assurance and Cybersecurity Training at Fountainhead College of Technology in Knoxville, Tennessee, was the recipient of the 2006 FBI Director's Community Leadership Award.

This prestigious award was established by the Director of the FBI in 1990, as a way to publicly recognize the achievements of individuals and organizations actively involved in community crime prevention. The award is given annually to one individual or organization from each of the FBI's 56 field offices.

Tammy Alexander is studying education at capella university, with an emphasis on enrollment management. As Director for Information Assurance and Cybersecurity Training at Fountainhead College of Technology in Knoxville, Tennessee, her responsibilities include developing and conducting cyber security awareness lectures and workshops for the general public, academia, and law enforcement.

Capella University was founded in 1993 and is an accredited online university that offers graduate degree programs in business, information technology, education, human services, and psychology, and bachelor’s degree programs in business and information technology.
