What to do with the leftover candy

What will you be doing with the leftover candy after the last of the trick-or-treaters have come and gone? Will you be taking it and putting it away for snacking on by the members of your house or do you have another strategy to deal with it?

And what did you give out this year? Was it candy? Or something else? Did you give out diabetic safe candy? I have never seen anyone passing out sugar free candy before, but it would make a nice alternative in my opinion for passing out rather than some of the things that people have given the kids I have taken trick or treating.
