National Family Caregiver Month is fast approaching!
November is National Family Caregiver Month, that is the perfect time to pitch in and help a caregiver you know.
Something that I want to see happen is people write their congressmen and asking them to support bills that effect family caregivers. If we all send just one card this Thanksgiving, giving thanks for the things our seniors did and those that care for them today, then it could make a huge difference for family caregivers and those they provide care for.
I am going to be working on getting Family Caregiver Info up and going in time to be relaunched for November, and one of the things I plan to focus on is the importance of supporting family caregivers.
Did you know that under the current rules a family caregiver can not receive financial aid unless their care recipient is on state funded medicaid? And even then I do not believe that all 50 states have family caregiving covered by that.
