Home safety checklist

There is a home safety checklist at Caregivers.com that is worth checking over to see how safe a home is when there is a senior living there independently. The checklist has a printable version, so you can look it over and print it out to take along if you are looking for adaptive equipment.

Check out the checklist here: Home Safety Checklist. I would suggest sitting with the list for a few minutes to add anything that might be needed that is not on the list - such as a step for small senior pets to be able to get up onto a bed or sofa?
